What is Snipster?
An AI clipping studio. You upload a long recording; it transcribes it, finds and ranks the strongest moments, and helps you turn them into captioned, vertical MP4s with a real editor. It can also use your TikTok analytics to personalise which moments it prefers, but that’s optional.
How does it pick moments?
It reads a timestamped transcript for strong openings, stories, emotional wording and satisfying endings, snaps cuts to measured pauses in the audio, and flags clips that lean on missing context. Every pick shows its reasons and weaknesses. These are heuristics, not predictions of how a clip will perform.
Does Snipster guarantee viral videos?
No. Nothing here promises views, virality, income or Creator Rewards payouts. Scores are estimates built from the evidence available, and outcomes after you post are uncertain.
What can I upload?
MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV recordings you own or have the rights to. Limits depend on your plan (the free plan takes videos up to 15 minutes). Snipster doesn’t download videos from YouTube or other sites.
Can I edit a clip, or is it all automatic?
Both. “Make my clips for me” renders up to five of the best automatically. Open any clip to trim, reframe, restyle captions, fix the transcript, add split-screen footage, B-roll, music or an AI voiceover, then re-export.
What does the free plan include?
10 minutes of video a month (up to 15 minutes each), AI-picked moments, captions and a 9:16 export with a snipster.dev watermark across the centre, plus one analytics analysis. No card, no time limit. Paid plans remove the watermark and raise limits.
Are the captions accurate?
They come from a speech-to-text provider with word-level timestamps, and you can correct any line before exporting. Accuracy depends on the audio and language, so check them. Snipster doesn’t label speakers.
Does it track faces or subjects for vertical crops?
Not faces. You choose the focus point and can drag the crop, or fit the whole picture on a blurred background. There’s also an optional “Follow the action” setting (beta) that pans the crop to where the picture moves. It tracks motion, so it suits one speaker; with several people it follows whoever moves most.
Where do the split-screen footage and music come from?
You upload them. Snipster doesn’t include third-party gameplay, footage or music, so you’re responsible for having the rights to what you add. AI voiceovers are synthetic; some platforms ask you to disclose that.
What about the analytics side?
You can upload TikTok analytics (screenshots, PDFs or CSV — up to 15 files of 12 MB each per analysis, 8 on the free plan). Values go through a review step before anything is analysed, and we haven’t published an accuracy figure for screenshot reading. Trend signals come from public web data, not TikTok’s own trend data.
How does pricing work?
A free plan and three paid plans, billed monthly or yearly with two months free, through Stripe. Limits are minutes of source video, minutes rendered, batch size, storage and how long exports are kept. The plans above are the current ones.
